Mission
Our mission is to engage young professionals in dialogue and inspire them to become more active in all aspects of the future of their communities.
History
The initiative was publicly kicked-off with the NextGen 2010 Conference, which showcased up and coming talent, collaborative discussions and ideas for the future. Founding members of NextGen saw the value and potential in engaging youth through an interactive, accountable and credible project that both informs and connects young people, with the end goal of youth attraction and enabling their innovation, aspirations and prosperity.
The NextGen Board of Directors was assembled in 2013 to support the initiative and maintain focus of its ongoing mission. The NextGen Board of Directors is made up of young professionals that are involved in their communities, and interested in the growth and development of a competitive and prosperous economy that provides opportunity for youth and young professionals.
Through the NextGen Framework, four core pillars were described: connect, create, engage and inform.
